Ms. Patty

 

Hello, my name is Patty Highlander, also known as Ms. Patty to the children. I have been married for 29 years and my husband’s name is Don. He is an architect and helps churches with their designs. I have four children, three boys and one girl. The boys are grown and are in college and working. My beautiful girl is in 7th grade this year and has been a joy in our lives.

I have recently returned to school at an online college, Liberty University, and am working toward my associate degree in education. It has been a challenge, but I am finding that learning at my age is something I can really appreciate. My homework is sometimes more intense than my daughter’s!

God has blessed me with a job I love. I truly enjoy coming to work every day. There are days when it seems a lot like playing with my kids.

I have been teaching preschool for six years. I teach the toddler class and the 3 – 4 year old class. I love this age as the children are growing into their independence and absorbing knowledge like sponges.
